when your exploring the Barrio Gotico, part of the historic and old city center of Barcelona, you are most likely to cross paths with the beauty of the Barcelona Cathedral. It is in general a highlight when in the city; and should you only be wandering through the beautiful streets, you will be somehow automatically guided towards this gothic cathedral by an unknown magical force (good old ancient city planning - it´s wonderful)
If you visit, be sure to go inside the garden of the cloister, a magical place that is beautifully displaying architecture and nature. It is known for the white geese at the well within the garden area. Really quite funny.
The images shown above are all taken of the cloister garden and courtyard and the surrounding streets and passages. The atmosphere inside is something to remember. Very surreal, magical and almost ethereal. Even with quite a few tourists wandering about, the area exudes a serene tranquility that sets it apart from all of the hustle and bustle in the rest of the city streets.
Oh, one thing to keep in mind if you do decide to see the cloister, don´t wear short shorts, or they won´t let you inside. Longer skirts and shorts are fine, just not anything too extreme - you get it...
