CUBA . historic facades and derelict buildings

Havanna is just something else. No city I have been to is comparable. The city is beautiful, but extremely run down. You always hear about the amazing architecture and the old buildings that are part of Havanna´s unique charm (besides the cars of course) that are sometimes in desperate need of renovation and sensible up-keeping. But I was shocked to see just how bad it really is in almost every part of the city. Most of the buildings that are still standing are in a really bad shape and can not convey the old charm that they surely once did, and it feels like every second building has collapsed and it´s corpse has just been left there to rot.
Besides all of this negativity, some how, the city still manages to captivate you and the vibrant yet morbid charm just makes it a special city trip! Take a look at all of the beautiful buildings. Even the derelict ones are in some strange way beautiful - what do you think?
